Or hello, or hola, or bonjour! That's hi for Basque, my native language.

In any case, hi everyone! My name is Ane, and I am a very recent graduate (like 3 days ago) from a Big Ten school in the Midwest, where I just obtained my MA in Hispanic Linguistics.

I am not American, I am from the Basque Country, a nation in the border between Spain and France, where English is not very prevalent and there aren't many preps (hence the availability of this domain name for my blog #winning). However, I have lived in the USA 3 years, the last two in the Midwest.

I have always have a penchant for fashion. When I was bored in 5th grade, I finished three notebooks with ball gown designs. I have learned English with a Teen Vogue subscription (and a BA in English, that helped too). I have always been enchanted by fashion blogs, and Pinterest and Instagram inspire me everyday, as do my fellow students, including the rockstars I TA for! Shout out to them!

I also happen to have an interest in politics, humor, Buzzfeed and reading for pleasure (as a grad schooler, please do not let my advisor know!).

The reason I am starting this blog is that I am currently going through a tough time in my life, battling depression and a breakup (right before graduation folks, pretty exciting), and I believe that I need to make time for the things I love and time for myself.

My love of fashion has never faded since 5th grade, but my style has changed. No pink flared pants for me anymore, let me tell ya that navy is the new black and do not ever underestimate the power of a pair of white Chucks (the dirtier, the better).

Who knows if this blog will have a future. Who knows if grad school will take over me. But in the meantime, I will try to find my niche in the blogging world.

Thanks for stopping by!
