Two-tone Slingback Heels from French Sole, 195$

They also evoke the heart and soul of this brand, you know, this very iconic brand, erm... CHANEL!?!? Now if you want to go for the real deal and pay 800$, you go ahead champion, do you! Meanwhile I'll think of better options like these beauties, and even keep looking for more affordable ones!

MASTERS LV X KOONS Neverfull MM Bag from Louis Vuitton (3,200$)
...and thank you. Y'all. My history of art loving self can't deal with this collection. Jeff Koons has partnered with Louis Vuitton for a special collection where the historically greatest names of art are reproduced in the most iconic Louis Vuitton products, like the Neverfull and the Speedy. The collection reproduces the Mona Lisa by Da Vinci, and the work of Tiziano, Rubens, Fragonard, and my personal favorite of them all, Van Gogh. Impressionism is probably my favorite painting style (Monet FTW!), and although Van Gogh did mostly post-impressionist work, he has a very unique style that both reminds me of the impressionist masters and evokes a completely different response at the same time. The price tag is like... LOL. But if you can afford it, stop waiting and get it. The inside of the bag has information about Van Gogh and the collab itself, apart from the usual pochette and gold plated details. Seriously, IN LOVE!

Tory Burch Spring Sale Picks

Kaixo everyone!

Without getting into details about my looooooong looooooong absences, I wanted to get back on track and share what my weekend shopping spree would look like if I were married to a Chicago banker living with two shitzus in the North Shore and going to Pure Barre with my Junior League friends. Alas, I am still a poor graduate student! However, a girl can dream! I have compiled my favorite picks for Tory Burch's Spring Sale!

In this sale, you can get 20% off 300$, 25% off 500$ or 30% off 700$.

I have not included the essentials, which are in my ACTUAL bucket list, provided I save enough. I have not included shoes either, which honestly could go for an entire blog! If I had an unlimited flow of cash, I would definitely rejoice with these pieces instead of drinking off the fact that my banker husband has an affair with his young secretary. B*tch boy bye!

Clockwise from left to right:
Long-Sleeve Embellished Tunic: Tunics are an instant boost to any outfit: They give a classy flair, they are easy to throw on, and you can combine them with white jeans, regular jeans, shorts and some sandals. Even canvas sneakers if you want to be more casual!
Ribbon Pear Earrings: These scream Prep Boarding School + Blair Waldorf. I love that ribbon pattern and well, pearls > everything.
Lenox Ruffle Top: This orange color is the perfect Fighting Illini shade. I would loooove to wear this to games!
iPhone 6s Case: I have an iPhone 6s and I do not plan to upgrade it anytime soon, particularly due to the stupidity of not being able to charge and listen to music at the same time (*cough* iPhone 7 *cough*), so this adorkable parrot is hilarious and a really cute touch to any phone!
Scallop Wristlet: Pink and green are life, pink and green are love. Combine them with scallops and BOOM! PREPPY MAGIC!
Daniella Skirt: This bad boy is 900$ (EL OH EL), but as I said, if I had the funds I would love to rock this!
Tory Burch Foundation Embrace Ambition Bracelet: This is actually the only piece I own! It's 30$ and all the proceeds go to the Tory Burch Foundation, which raises funds for women entrepreneurs! Aaaand the Gemini link is super sleek, so it's a win-win!
Marianna Broderie Anglaise Top: White and blue à la your mom's best china has always been one of my favorite patterns, and the intricacy of broderie has always amazed me.
Parker Tote: This tote is something I am considering getting (fingers crossed I can use my birthday discount in it). It looks functional, put together, and the price is feasible for an investment bag.

What are your picks for the TB sale?

Love,

- Ane

Valentine's Day Gifts for the Single, Easy, Breezy Covergirl that you are

Kaixo dear readers,

As the dreaded V-day approaches, singleness starts to feel heavy upon the Sargent Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band. Snuggling with a loved one, getting flowers, a candlelit dinner, lov... Ok now, stop. Staaahhhpppp. I'm gonna be honest here right now, after my first relationship, the idea of being with somebody gives me anxiety. I really want to overcome this and find the man who will make me feel awesome and loved, but  I'm in no rush. Leaving serious topics aside, being single on Valentine's Day is actually a pretty freaking awesome thing! There are many reasons, but this are the main pros for me:

- You and your other single friends can have a ladies' night and get white-girl wasted have fun.
- You don't have to spend a dime on buying stuff for a guy. I'm sorry, but are you aware of how hard it is to buy stuff for dudes? You either buy something extremely cheap and stupid or you have to get them a new Play Station 4. No thanks.
- You don't have to worry about running to Walgreens last minute to get the corniest card.
- It's another occasion to wear as much pink as Elle Woods does and nobody will judge you. It's basically as free as Halloween for Mean Girls!
- You can wear pink and red and nobody can say the famous Spanish phrase "rosa y rojo, patada en el ojo" (basically that they don't match).
- If you are really feeling it, you can go to a cute guy (or guys) in the bar and flirt without worrying of anyone else.
- You probably will feel sad, so you can invest all the money you have not spent on a loved one ON YOURSELF.

That's right my ladies, I know you knew I would get to this conclusion but hey, some of the Valentine's Day themed clothes, accessories and others are actually super cute. Since all bloggers have decided to do a gift list for a woman, a man and the holy spirit, mine is just for you (or for me), that kick ass, single lady who needs no man to be fabulous.

Market bag: Kate Spade // Wallet: Kate Spade //  Top: Lilly Pulitzer // Scarf: Tory Burch // Teddy bear: Melissa & Doug // Phone case: Stella McCartney // Bath oil: Jo Malone // Ballet flats: Tory Burch // Boxers: Royal Silk // Nail polish: Christian Louboutin // Handbag: Tory Burch

From inexpensive teddy bears and boxers (for yourself, I mean, they are super comfy) to obnoxiously priced nail polish (I wonder who buys this), I've got your covered for the 14th.

What are your picks? Are you gonna treat yo self or treat someone else? Any exciting plans?
Love,

- Ane

Please and thank you...: Spring Wishlist

Kaito everybody,

So, Christmas is gone... But ugh, I wish it weren't. This year I did not spend much money in gifts, and I personally didn't look for anything in particular, but I wish I had come across this great webpage before... Enter Spring, a NYC based store that caters young-adult professionals like my jolly self (basically I like to pretend like I have my shit together, which could be easily done if I had everything from this store) and carries those super hip NYC brands that street style bloggers sport and make me cry about my current closet.

So let's pretend this is a week before Christmas, I'm arriving home and I'm excited for cute awesome stuff that Olentzero (the bigger, better and "Basquer" Santa) thinks I deserve (I mean, 2015 was definitely terrible), or, that my inner Tom Haverford and Donna Meagle have come out in full swing. TREAT YO SELF! So here is my wishlist!

Clockwise from top left: Sweatshirt: Bow & Drape // Earrings: French Connection // Pink Watch: Lexon // Yellow Watch: Lexon // Cord Strip Manager: This Is Ground // Bookmarks: Mrs. John L. Strong // Stationery: Coral & Tusk

A sweatshirt with a fun print (I mean, my life all day every day), some stylish earrings that go with everything, cute stationery to survive grad school with, a practical cord strip manager and a watch (or two? No judgment I really CAN'T choose between those to-die-for colors!). A New Yorker born and bred you (and every Soho native) would think!

If you liked this pieces, definitely check out Spring, they even have an app for you tech-savvy millennial to check out their adorable pieces on your electronic devices! I specially liked the accessories page, check it out as well! Let me know if you find anything you like (which I'm sure you will!).
Love,

- Ane

This post is not sponsored. All opinions on the products are honest and my own. The webpage was provided to me by Spring to review their products. Thank you for supporting Spring and the brands that support Basque Prep!
